Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bufalo Lake District Center, Eden, SD. There will be an All Night Wake on Thursday, April 10, 2025 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Buffalo Lake District Center.  Officiating will be J.C. Crawford and CRE Gerald Heminger Jr. Drum Group will be Jr. Boy & Crew. Pallbearers will be Darell Decoteau, Micah Eastman Sr., Troy Goodsell, Christian Johnson, Louis Johnson, and Nicolaus Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Atticus Eastman, Charlie Eastman, Brandon Deutsch and all Chase's friends and many cousins. Interment will be at the Eastman Family Cemetery, Eastman Road, South Buffalo Lake, Eden, South Dakota. Chase passed away on April 6, 2025 at his home. Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Chase Donovan Becker "Peta Etanhan Icu Hokṡina" (he takes from the fire) was born on March 28, 1983 to the Eastman & Becker family in Watertown, South Dakota. His name was given to him by Danny Seaboy because Chase was the fire keeper and door man for sweat at his Auntie Tammy and Uncle Darell's house for many years.

Chase attended and graduated from the Tiospa Zina Tribal School where he attended for the majority of his education. Chase played basketball and football and always had good grades, he was very intelligent. Chase was an avid reader and when he was younger he liked all the R.L. Stine series and later he read most if not all of the Stephen King novels, as well as many other books. Chase also liked to watch movies, play PS5, Diablo on PC and spend time with his family. Chase enjoyed good food and family dinners. The family had just celebrated his birthday with his favorite food, which was a steak dinner, and took a trip into the cash cube.

His grandpa PeeWee was not afraid of having a favorite grandchild and for many years it was Chase. One year at Christmas there was only one present for the grandchildren under the tree and it was a big box for Chase. Chase had a special relationship with his grandpa Peewee and Granny Olivia.

Chase was a family helper. He could be counted on to help with just about everything. You'd know when you'd reach his limits because his response would be "I guess" or "I suppose", but no matter what he would help. Chase spent a lot of time watching his nephews and taking care of his mom and sisters. When his nephew Atticus was born, Chase came to the hospital to meet him. He looked at Atticus and said "he's handsome like his uncle".

Chase is survived by his mother Nadine Eastman and Becker Family; sisters Sarita Eastman, Santana Fuentes, and Randi (Kasey) Ceroll; aunts Sherry (Louie) Johnson, Tammy (Darell) Decoteau; Grandparents Lois & Bruce Formes, nephews Atticus and Charlie Eastman, nieces Makynlee and Tyler Ceroll, nephew Ezra Ceroll and his numerous aunts and uncles as well as many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wayne "PeeWee" Eastman and Olivia Eastman, Grandfather DuWayne "Big Boy" Eastman, Grandma and Grandpa Becker, Great-Grandmother Dagmar Keehn, Uncle Wayne Eastman, Aunt Evon Amy Eastman, Aunt Lynelle Quinn, Uncle Loris Johnson, Cousins Autumn Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Sheila Eastman,  Jacob Larsen, and Reece Weston.

The family would like to thank all the many relatives and friends that were part of Chase's life. A special thank you to his auntie Sherry who took care of all his finances and paperwork, you were such a tremendous help taking care of your Toṡka.

He was so very loved and will be missed dearly. . .
