Funeral service for Cassandra L. Damon, 74, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at 2:00P.M. at the
Cahill Funeral Chapel in Sisseton with Rev. Suzanne Benidt officiating. Pallbearers will be Keegan Jensen, Nicholas
Geranen, Ben Simon, Charles Uervig, Hunter Weber, and Jesse Uervig. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday June 8, 2018 from 12:00P.M. until service time. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton,
South Dakota is in charge of Arrangements.
Cassandra Lee Damon was born on August 19, 1943 in Sisseton, South Dakota to Clarence A. and Evelyn M. Simon.
She attended country school near Sisseton and Sisseton Public Schools. Cassandra moved to Bothel, Washington where
she worked for Physio Control until moving back to Sisseton in 1988. She also worked at Power Sentry, Inc. and
Dakotah in Sisseton until her retirement. She loved spending time with her siblings and their spouses.
Cassandra did not have children of her own but spent happy occasions with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed square dancing,
country music, crocheting, flowers, and keeping up with the local and national news.
She particularly enjoyed watching the birds feasting from the bird seed contained in bird houses especially made for her by her brother Rick.
Cassandra passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Sisseton, South Dakota at the age of 74.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Mikel Simon, sisters Carol Fogel and Gail Peterson, and nephew
Dustin Simon.
Cassandra is survived by her siblings, Bill (Mary) Simon of rural Castlewood, SD, Rick Simon of Sisseton, SD,
Marilyn (Todd) Baty of Chehalis, WA, Tamra (David) Bucklin of Camano Island, WA and Pauline (Richard) Glynn
of Grand Forks, ND, 10 nieces and 3 nephews.
