Funeral Service for Caril Deann (Amos) Schoenrock, 66, of Big Coulee will be held at the St. Kateri Hall, Sisseton , SD on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. with dinner at 12:00 noon. There will be an all-night Wake Service on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at St. Kateri Hall. Officiating will be Commissioned Ruling Elder Gerald "Jr. H" Heminger and Ruling Elder Susie Amos. The pianist will be Billy Kohl. The pallbearers will be Lindsay White, Lenny White, Kyan White, Gerald Amos, Daren Amos, Wayne Cloud, Mikey Selvage, Jr., and Billy Kohl. Honorary Pallbearers will be Susie Amos, Sharyn Feather, Jenelle Burshiem, Mary Beth Kirk, Betty Neilan, Audrey German, Denise Fuentes, Pam Keoke, Jennifer Thompson, Alexis "Ollie" St. John, Sandy White, Dean White, Gloria White, Kim Pratt, Sharon Small, Beverly Larvie, Francine Hayes, Cheryl Renville, Lexie Fancher, Missy Kohl, and her home health nurses from Prairie Lakes Health Care: Jessi Moen, Tammy Langager, Laura Frankenhoff, Brenda Hoium and Kristi Rufer, and all of Caril's friends, nieces, and nephews. Interment will be at the Ascension Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Big Coulee. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Caril was born on February 14, 1959, to Charles Amos, Sr., and Clara (Small) at the Sisseton IHS Hospital, Sisseton, SD. Caril was raised and lived most of her life in Big Coulee. She attended school at the Big Coulee Day School and attended the Wilmot Public School in Wilmot, SD. Caril worked at various places which included: SWST Law Enforcement, Agency Village, SD as a dispatcher; Dakota Poultry, Watertown, SD; Schultz Foods, Sisseton, SD, Dakota Sioux Casino, Watertown, SD as a security guard; Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority, Sisseton, SD; Boys and Girls Club, Peever, SD, and her last job was at the Little Steps Day Care, Agency Village, SD. Caril was active in her church and was currently on the Board of Session as a Ruling Elder. She was very instrumental in the church fundraising. Never once saying no. Working in her church was instilled in her by her parents and grandparents. She also sang soprano in the church choir. She enjoyed traveling with her friends to the various church meetings which included the Dakota Presbytery Meetings and Mission Meetings, where she made more friends who helped her in her faith journey. Over the years her faith was tested, but she never lost hope in her God. Especially, during the time she was diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer. She showed how far your faith can take you, as she made the courageous decision to come home on hospice. She was always strong and always there for her family and friends. Caril also enjoyed her music. Her favorites being from the Motown and Country. She also loved to play cards: Frustrated Rummy, Spoons, Whist, etc. She also enjoyed Yahtzee and putting puzzles together. She also loved to dance. She had many friends and relatives that she loved to "hang out" with and sitting by a good bon fire. She really enjoyed fishing with her family and friends. She just loved having fun and she was a very fun person to be around. Caril became a young mother when her son Justin was born. Then she had her second child, Daniel Schoenrock (deceased) with her husband Jeff. She was also married to Dean White and to this union brought Lindsay, Consuelo and Lenny (Lendean). One of the biggest joys in her life was her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. She would give her right arm for her grandchildren. Caril was famous for her delicious breads. She was always making fry bread, kabooboo bread and baked bread. Caril married Jeff Schoenrock on June 24, 2017, in Sisseton, SD. He and Caril had a son, Daniel Amos Schoenrock, who died as an infant. From this union she gained two stepdaughters: Louetta Schoenrock and Rhonda Schoenrock. Caril passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home in Big Coulee, SD on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Caril is survived by her children: Justin (Craig Walker) Amos of Marshalltown, Iowa; Lindsay White of Watertown, Consuelo White & Mikey Selvage, Jr. of Sisseton, SD; and Lenny & Emily White of Watertown, SD. Step-daughter Rhonda Schoenrock of Summit, SD. Her grandchildren: Kyan White, Kyrie Bursheim, Ian White, Leah White, Virgil White, Oryn White, Aaliyah Selvage, Logan Selvage, and Liam Selvage. Step-grandchildren Roland "Toby" Schoenrock, Brian & Catherine Bartunek, Brooke & Mike Lorenzen, Rosa Bartunek, Tanner and Kayla Bartunek, Lily Bartunek & Zach Bowen, Pamela and Dylan Lau, Emma (Brian) Bartunek, Elliot Schoenrock, Lillian Lawrence and Wyatt Lawrence. Step-great-grandchildren Ezmae, Tabi, Ryland, Toby Jr, Gemma, Britina, Brileigh, Bria, Brie, Elijah, Henry, Silas, Isabella, Olivia, Gracee, Louella, Maverick, Mila, Cleo, Jasper, Azula, Zariyah. Brothers: Charles Amos, Jr of Big Coulee, Marlon Amos of Long Hollow, Gerald Amos of Big Coulee, Steve Amos of Big Coulee, and Daren Amos of Sisseton; Sisters: Colette Small of Big Coulee and Genevieve Amos of Aberdeen. Sister-in-laws Georgia Bird and Charlene LaFontaine. Aunt Geraldine Cole. Uncle Harlan Amos. A host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and many, many friends.

Caril was proceeded in death by her son Daniel Schoenrock; Stepdaughter Louetta Schoenrock; Grandsons  Terrel Razo and Austin Schoenrock; Parents Charles Amos, Sr., and Clara Small; Maternal grandparents Norby Amos and Flora (Phelps) Amos; Paternal grandparents Fritz and Lizzie (Alexis) Small; Brother Calvin Amos, Sr.; Sisters Kim Amos, and Rochelle Amos; Brother-in-law Russell Schoenrock; Sister/friend LaTonnie Goodbird and many other relatives and friends.
