Memorial Service for Bradley Lewis Brown, 51, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with Jr. Heminger CRE officiating. Drum Group will be Battle Crew. Urn Bears will be Duane Brown and Gokoh Brown. Honorary Urn Bears will be Tyler Tordsen, Aylssa Tuttle and Brayden Bernard. Inurnment will be in the Long Hollow Presbyterian Cemetery, Sisseton, SD at a later date. There will be an all night wake on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 starting at 7:00 P.M. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Brad was born March 12, 1971 to Duane Brown and Darlene Barker in Sisseton, SD. He went to Sisseton high school, completing the 9th grade. After high school he went to live in Washington, where he would make lasting friendships who he called family. He would later return home to Sisseton, where he married Elizabeth Frenier but later divorced. They had 3 children together, adopting 3 more, in their 20 years of marriage. Brad worked construction with his brother Erik, and had put many years into the Dakota Magic Casino. He has lived in many states while on the road for construction. While living with his parents Duane and Karen (Keeble) Brown and son Duane Brown. He would do what he could to help out. He enjoyed any and all time spent with his children and his brother Erik. Brad was one known to tell it how it is. Without a filter, he would say what he thought about something. He was also much known for his humor. He did what he could to bring laughter and smiles. He was helpful to a fault, he would go out of his way to try and help everyone in need if it was to his abilities, and you could bet he would be trying to help. He had a way about him that made you relax and enjoy his presence. He was a shoulder to cry on, arms to hug, and a helping hand. His hobbies included woodworking, telling stories, listening to music. His favorite football team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, colors were green and red. Brad passed away on May 18, 2022 t Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Brad is survived by his father Duane and Karen Brown of Sisseton, SD; children Dianna Brown of South Shore, SD, Morgan Brown of Browns Valley, MN; Duane Brown of Sisseton, SD, Gokoh Brown of Chamberlain, SD, Victoria Brown and Tina Brown of Browns Valley, MN; sisters Tammy Brown, Michelle German, Brenda Renville, Francine Barker and Duane Brown Jr.; five granddaughters Amylee, Phoebe, Violet, Letty and Maianna Boone.
Brad was preceded in death by his mother Darlene Barker; brothers James Carlson, and Erick Brown; Sister Denise Barker; Grandmother Tillie King and Niece Mia German.
