Funeral service for Bonnie Jean Hogan (Stickland) 63 of Rapid city, SD formerly of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, Sisseton, SD with Rev. Mark Terayama officiating. Organist will be Amber Dady. Pallbearers will be Patrick Stickland, Joshua Stickland, Shawn Stickland, Cory Stickland, James Stickland and Billy Stickland. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be a visitation on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Cahill Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Monday.
Bonnie Jean Stickland was born on July 8, 1947 in Sisseton, SD to Marvin and Lorraine (Siedschlag) Stickland. She attended school in Sisseton. She spent the majority of her life living in Minneapolis, MN, where she took great pride and pleasure in her family, church and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and crafts. Her favorite subject in school was English and she loved reading. Music was another favorite part of her life, Elvis was one of the artists she enjoyed to listen to on a daily basis. Bonnie passed away on July 6, 2011 at her home in Rapid City, SD
Bonnie is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Michelle) Loberg of Elk River, MN; three daughters, Lorie (Rick) Nelson of Rogers, MN, Debra Wolfe of San Antonio, TX, and Mary (Gordon) Schnortz of Rapid City, SD; one brother, Dean ( Marsha) Stickland of Sisseton, SD; four sisters, Marjorie (Maynard) Azure of Tucson, AZ, Sandra Stickland of Sisseton, SD, Laura (Jim) Kimberly of Manassas, VA and Annette (David) Brown of Big Lake, MN; four grandchildren, Amber (Kasey), Kelli, Emily, and Nicholas; and one great grandson, Blake.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Larry, Robert and Gary.
