Funeral Service for Bonita LeeAnn LaFromboise, 71, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD with JC Crawford, Pastor Milton Owen and Laverne Black Thunder officiating. Pall bearers will be Alan Munoz, Chris Anderson, Caeton LaFromboise, Jerwyn Rodlund, Daniel Dumarce, Tyler Lureen, Jame Crawford III, and Peter LaFromboise Jr. Honorary Pall bearers will be Janie Anderson, Pam Lehr, Karen Brackin, Katie Fleck, Wendy Galye, and Kari Helps. Interment will be in the St. Matthew Cemetery, Veblen, SD. There will be a wake services on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and an all night wake service on Thursday, September 11, 2025 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Wahpeton Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Bonita was born on February 21, 1954, in Sisseton, SD to Peter and Esther (Goodbird) LaFromboise. She attended the Tekakwitha school until the 8th grade. Bonita met Richard Munoz and lived in Minneapolis, MN and Grafton, ND. She had two children: Esther (Molly) DuMarce and Arnold LaFromboise as well as a daughter-in-law Vicki Munoz. Bonita worked in the restaurant industry as a cook/dishwasher and was employed at the Country Kitchen in Grafton, ND for some time. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her son and grandkids. She was a member of St Kateri Tekakwitha Church. She enjoyed fishing, going to casinos, bingo, and spending time with family.
Bonita is survived by her daughter Esther (Molly) DuMarce; daughter-in-law Vicki Munoz who was her caregiver; grandchildren LeeAnna LaFrombose, Shania LaFromboise, Alan J. Munoz, Kaiden Troy Jr., Auroa, Mya, Taeren, Lorenzo, Katelyn, Aidan, Maleah, and Ledger; and many nieces and nephews.
Bonita was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Esther LaFromboise; a son Arnold LaFromboise; grandchildren Dustin LaFrombose, Shelby Hopkins, and Levi LaFromboise; brothers Jonah LaFromboise, Willard LaFromboise, and Arnold "Morris" LaFromboise: sisters Prisilla Partel, Violet "Jean" Lorane, and Cora LaFromboise; and many more relatives.
