Funeral Service Arnold Lee DeCoteau, 81 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Big Coulee District Center, Big Coulee, SD with Jr Heminger, CLP officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom DeCoteau Jr., Eldon Hayes Jr., Stephan Hayes, Jesse Hayes, Kendall DeCoteau and Daniel Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Arnold's Relatives and friends, and Tekakwitha Living Center Staff and Residents. Pianist will be Billy Kohl.  There will be wake services on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the Big Coulee District Center, Big Coulee at 7:00 PM. Interment will be in the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery, Big Coulee with Military Rites by the American Legion Post #314. Social distancing and masks are recommended. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Arnold Lee DeCoteau was born on May 30, 1939 to Sidney Bad Maccasin and Thelma DeCoteau. He attended school at Big Coulee Day School and graduated from Flandreau Indian School. He served in the United States Marines from March 1961 to March 1966. He received the Rifle Expert Badge. After his discharge he went to work for area farmers in the Peever Area. He loved to cook and play yahtzee. He entered the Tekakwitha Living Center in March 2007. Arnold passed away on October 14, 2020 at the Tekakwitha Living Center.

Arnold is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents.
