Funeral Service for Armantha Pauline White, 72, of Sisseton, SD will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Ascension Presbyterian Church Big Coulee, SD. Officiating will be Rev. Milton Owen. Pallbearers will be Paul White, Sampson "Boo" White, Gage White, Leighton "Punchy" Hill, Prescott St. John, Cameron Hill Ray Luna, Chauncey Hill, Brian Beetem Jr., Zach Hill, Robert "Bob" Beetem, Murray Michael Hill Jr., Samantha DuMarce, Michael White, Dylan DuMarce, Richard "Ricky" Hill and Keith Gibson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mercy Young, Cheryl Spider, Alta German, Marlene Iron Heart, Nicky Woods, Irvin Hill, Leonard DuMarce, Perry Lufkins, Wayne German Jr., Family and Friends. Wake services will be at Big Coulee District Center Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be at the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery Big Coulee, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Armantha Pauline White was born to Paul White (Turtle) and Josephine (Starlight) White on August 2, 1942 and joined her loved ones in the spirit world on November 22, 2014 at Coteau des Prairies Hospital, Sisseton, SD. Armantha attended the Big Coulee Day School. She was a homemaker raising her children and grandson Gage White. Armantha was a very loving, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing whist and watching movies especially western movies, watching live and televised rodeos. She especially enjoyed cooking her special Sunday dinners for her family, loved to sing and was a number one Elvis Presley fan.
Left to mourn her are her sons Sampson Joel White of Peever, SD, Paul Leland White of Peever, SD, daughters Belva Faye White of Peever, SD, LaCassa DuMarce of Sisseton, SD, grandchildren Leanna LaFromboise, Stephanie Keeble, Gage and Paige White, Michael White, Dylan DuMarce, Josephine Wanna, Armantha Paula and Evelynn Luna, many other special grandchildren and two great grandsons; brother Nathan Hill of Peever, SD; sisters Ruth Hill of Sisseton, SD, Katie Hill of Agency Village, SD.
Armantha was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, one daughter Stephanie Leigh White, two brothers, Vibert "Tuffy" White and Murray Michael "Mike" Hill; three sisters Evelyn Lorraine Beetem, Iantha Louise White and Doreen Belva Hill; three special nephews Lance Murray Miner, Murphy Sean Hill and Brian Paul Beetem.
