Memorial Service for Archie E. Boardman, 81 of Sisseton, SD will be held on June 5, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Hillhead, SD with a lunch to follow in the church.

Archie Boardman was born December 29 ^th 1938 in Hillhead SD to Edith Boardman (Christenson) and Chuck Boardman. Archie attended School in Hillhead, SD On February 24 ^th 1973 Archie married Vickey Johnson at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Sisseton SD. Together they raised three daughters Teresa, Elizabeth, and April. Archie held various jobs throughout his life. He worked at the Ford Dealership in Sisseton SD as a mechanic alongside his brother in law. He worked for his future father in law as a mechanic in Fargo ND. Archie worked in the Sisseton area for both Dan Brown and Scott Rice hauling haystack and combining around the Midwest. He moved to Roslyn SD in the late 70's and first worked for a mechanic at a local repair shop he then went to work for Huggett Construction in Roslyn where he did a bit of everything from driving gravel trucks, blading roads, and doing mechanics. In 2001 Archie moved to Oregon to be close to his daughters and grandchildren while in Oregon Archie lived in Boardman , OR as well as Madras, OR he worked for Indian Head Casino before retiring completely. In 2011 Archie moved back to his home state of South Dakota for the remainder of his life. Archie enjoyed acquiring and working on cars even his beloved Subaru who had seen better days. He enjoyed listening to country music, dancing (Waltz and Polka), and fishing whenever he had the chance. Archie enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Archie was always there to lend a hand wherever he was needed. Archie E. Boardman, 81, of Sisseton, SD passed away on November 23, 2020 at the Tekakwitha Nursing Center in Sisseton, SD.

Archie is survived by his children Teresa Donnelly-Amundson and husband James Amundson of Culver, OR Elizabeth Boardman of Madras, OR April Boardman and husband Michael Multo of McMinnville, OR Brother Bob Boardman and Marilyn Miotke of Grenville, SD Sister Barbara and Darold Fryer of Sisseton, SD 12 grandchildren   (Tiffany, Paige, Samantha, Selina, Dominique, Faith, Grace, Antonio, Nevada, Zuggeyt, and Cecilia-Izabel) 7 great grandchildren (Zachary, Rylee, Chloe, Evan, Lillian, Arielle, and Bobby) along with many nephews and nieces and family and friends.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Donna and Shirley as well as brother Gordan.
