Funeral Service for April Lee Rondell, 38 of Waubay, South Dakota will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at St. James Episcopal Church, Enemy Swim, South Dakota with the Rev. Les Campbell, Rev. Charles Chan and Rev. Conrad Ciesel officiating. Pianist will be Kay Bursheim. Pallbearers will be Calvin Cadotte, Francis Cadotte, John Iyarpeya, Nathan His Law Jr., Chris Rondell, Jesse Rondell, Robert Cadotte Jr., and Cheyenne LeBeau. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Campbell, Byrd Eagle, Grace Iyarpeya, Colleen Roberts, LiAnn Erickson, Sonia Rouillard, Sharon Cloud, Lorraine Wolfvoice, Garrett Iyarpeya, Elroy LeBeau, Julie Four Bears, Rena Carry Moccasin, Anthony Hayes Sr., Dale Augustson, Della Iyarpeya, Noreen Iyarpeya, Donna Campbell, Brian Graves, Justin Cadotte, Jerrel Cadotte, Arden Rae Cadotte, Wilma Patterson, Tamara Shepherd, Charlotte Shepherd, Sandra His Law, Kerrie Roberts, and Robyn Rumpca. Interment will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim, SD. There will be an All Night Wake Service held on Monday, at 7:00 PM at the St. James Episcopal Church. April Lee Rondell was born on April 14, 1973 in Chamberlain, SD to Duane His Law Sr. and Valorie Rondell. She attended preschool in Aberdeen, SD, grade school in Waubay and Tiospa Zina. Following her education she moved to Minnesota where she met the father of her first three children, Darrell Two Hearts. She moved to South Dakota in 1991, where she met the father of her youngest child Ion Szoktor. April was baptized and confirmed at St. James Episcopal Church, where she was Junior Warden for the past two years, Associate of BSA and a Licensed Lay Reader for the past three Years. She loved attending church, spoiling her grandsons, playing cribbage, watching movies with her children, swimming at the lake; she loved joking around and making people laugh. She was a very caring and loving person to all she knew. April passed away on June 25, 2011 at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD from a massive heart attack.
April is survived by her parents, Duane (Roxanne) His Law of Enemy Swim, SD and Valorie (Dale) Augustson of Waubay, SD; four children, Wakiya Reese of Watertown, SD, Nathan Rondell of Waubay, SD, Valorie Two Hearts of Waubay, SD and Curtis Szoktor of Waubay, SD; two brothers, Duane His Law Jr. of Cass Lake, MN and Bruce His Law of Cass Lake, MN; four sisters, Heather Bruce of Minneapolis, MN, Bobbie His Law of Cass Lake, MN, Bertilla Eagle of Waubay, SD and Brittney His Law of Enemy Swim, SD; and two grandsons, Gabriel and Emery Reese of Watertown, SD.
April was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Calvin and Nellie Rondell, Paternal Grandparents, Jerris His Law and Enore Anderson; grandson, Aiden Reese; aunties, Francie Rondell and Jessica Rondell, one brother, Benjamin Eagle; cousins, Lynn Rondell and Stephen Rondell.
