Angela Amber Keoke, 30 years old of Sisseton, South Dakota made her journey to the spirit world on May 16, 2021 at her family residence in Sisseton, South Dakota, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Angela, lovingly known as Angie by all of her family, was born to Levi and Rose Nelson-Keoke Jr. on April 4, 1991 at Watertown, South Dakota. Angie attended school at Tiospa Zina Tribal School. After school, she and her late companion, Michael Buckanaga, started a family that brought them two loving sons, Liam and Willow. Angie enjoyed going camping, attending family functions, cookouts, fishing, taking pictures and she was an especially good cook that enjoyed crafting dishes for her family. Angie adored her two sons and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Angie is survived by her father, Levi Keoke Jr.; sons, Liam and Willow Buckanaga; brothers, Garrett Keoke, Allan Owen, Anthony Keoke, Chad Keoke, Jeremy Keoke; and sisters Valette Keoke, Minerva Keoke, and April Keoke.
Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Nelson-Keoke; the father of her children, Michael Buckanaga; paternal grandparents Levi and Doris Barse-Keoke; and maternal grandparents, Peter "Buddy" Nelson and Irene Swiftbird-Nelson.
Viewing Services will be Tuesday May 18 and Wednesday May 19, at 7:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Agency Village, South Dakota. There will be an all-night wake following services on Wednesday. Final services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday May 20, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Agency Village, South Dakota.
Pallbearers for Angela are Anthony Keoke, Jeremy Keoke, Chad Keoke, Cody White, Erin Keoke, Jason Beaudreau, Eric DuMarce, Allan Owen, Garrett Keoke, Raymond Hernandez, Calvin Max, Sr., Conrad Brown and David Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Serena Brant, Kadeen Kampeska, Krista ComesFlying, Lanie Barse, Brittney DuMarce, Rose Kirk, Alexis Long, Tylynn St. John, Linette Beaudreau, Anpao Buckanaga, Charlotte Keoke, Edna Max, Lloyd Keoke, Ashley Beaudreau-Thompson, Destinee Beaudrea, Doris Lewis, Erica Keoke-Fischer, Shanice Keoke, Amanda Rousseau, Kim Kampeska and Stephanie Kampeska. All Angela's hospice workers and her doctors.
The family would like to thank all of those that have showed support through this difficult time, including the staff and doctors of Sanford and those that assisted in hospice treatments. We greatly appreciate the warmth, kindness and well-wishes at this time.
