Funeral Service Allan Dale German, 74 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, Sisseton, SD with Rev. Steve Moberg officiating. Organist will be Mona Greseth. Pallbearers will be Tim German, Dennis German, Randolph Skogland, Rudy Skoglund, Davey Jensen, and Eric Snaza. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Allan's Grandchildren. Interment will be in Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. There will be visitation on Monday, February 8, 2010 from noon to 7:00 PM at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, and Tuesday one hour prior to the Services at Grace Lutheran Church. Allan was born on August 14, 1935 in Peever, SD to Bert and Dorothy (Law) German. Allan grew up and attended country school, following his education Allan farmed with his father. Then he worked as a custodian at the Sisseton School. He worked for the City of Sisseton in the Sanitation Dept, before he went to work for Stapleton Plumbing and Heating. Allan was united in marriage to Gladys Reiman on December 27, 1972 in Sisseton, SD. Allan liked horses and loved spending time with his grandchildren, and visiting with friends. Allan died on February 5, 2010 at Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD.
Allan is survived by his daughter-in-law, Bobbi German of Sisseton, SD; two step daughter's, Delta and Wayne Lentsch of Sisseton, SD and Johna and Jeff Birchem of Riceville, IA; one brother Gene German of Fargo, ND; five sisters, Yvonne Skoglund of Claire City, SD, Mrs. Bernice Marquette of Cloquet, MN, Mrs. Jeannette Snaza of Grenville, SD, Mrs. Deann German of Yankton, SD and Mrs. Charlotte Fryer of Big Stone, SD; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Trent German and one brother Herbert German.
