Funeral Service for Alberta "Bert" Mae Harwood , Cante Waste Win, "Good Hearted Woman", 48, of Veblen, South Dakota will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine's Hall, Sisseton, SD with the Rev. Vernon Donnell officiating. Pianist will be Billy Kohl. Alberta was born on May 14, 1963 in Browning, Montana to Raymond Harwood, Sr. and Tina (Williams) White. They moved to Sisseton and Alberta attended school at Morris, MN and graduated from Sisseton High School. She attended Sisseton Wahpeton Community College. Following her education she moved to Wahpeton, ND where she raised her family. She worked at the Dakota Magic Casino as a customer service representative. In 1997 she moved to Veblen, SD where she made her home until the time of her death on October 30, 2011 due to automobile accident. She loved cooking, loved her children and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Alberta is survived by her daughter, Alicia Juarez of Omaha, NE, son Angelo Juarez of Red Lake, MN and her mother, Tina White of New Effington, SD and her father, Raymond and wife, DA Harwood Sr. of Havre, MT, eleven brothers, Darrell and wife, Carol White of Peever, SD, David White of Peever, SD, Jacky and wife, Karen White of Sisseton, SD, Ray Harwood Jr. of Babb, MT, Ronald and wife, Windy Harwood of Veblen, SD, Randall and wife, Jennifer White of Sisseton, SD, Scott and wife, Cheryl Harwood of Havre, MT, Sheldon and wife, Brandi Harwood of Havre, MT, Richard and wife, Theresa White of Sisseton, SD, Tracy Harwood of Veblen, SD and Dean and wife, Connie Abraham Sr. of Sisseton, SD; two sisters, Elizabeth Harwood of Sisseton, SD, and Crystal and Rollie Harwood, of Sisseton, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alberta was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rebecca and Daniel Williams, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Iola Harwood; two sisters, Becky Whaley and Michalene White; one brother, Darwin White, and one uncle, Lars Williams and her children's father Pete Juarez.
