Graveside Service will be held in Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Lake Traverse Presbyterian Church. Browns Valley, MN with Military Rites by the Kit Fox Society.

The Funeral Service for Albert Dale Starr, Jr., Mato Numpa "Two Bears", 83, of Anoka, Minnesota will be held on April 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M at the Lake Traverse District Center, Browns Valley, Minnesota. Pallbearers will be Travis Goodstar, Eli Starr, Dominick Starr, Benji Thompson, Winfield Thompson Jr. and Ervin DuMarce. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Albert's Family, Friends & Classmates. There will be an all night Wake Service on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the Lake Traverse District Center. Burial will be in the Lake Traverse Presbyterian Cemetery, Browns Valley, South Dakota at a later date. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Albert Dale Starr, Jr. was born on March 20, 1940 in Roberts County, South Dakota to Albert and Martha (Hisgun) Starr, Sr. He attended school in Browns Valley, Minnesota and graduated in 1958. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Army and served in Germany as a medic. Upon earning an honorable discharger he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and began working at Honeywell as an assembly line painter until his retirement. Albert loved his music and he played a guitar in the Houle Boy's Country Band. Albert never married but had a special friend Nancy Goodman. He had several stepchildren and grandchildren. His pride and joy was his granddaughter Tahleah. Albert passed away on April 17, 2023 at The Estate of Twin Rivers Nursing Home, Anoka, Minnesota.

He is survived by one step daughter Lenora Jones of Ponsford, Minnesota and one step granddaughter, Tahleah Thompson of Blaine, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Martha Starr, Sr.; two sisters, Delores and Loretta; and his special friend, Nancy Goodman.
