Funeral Service for Agnes Isabelle Magnuson, 94 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, New Effington, SD with Rev. Cheryl Rondeau-Bassett officiating. Organist will be Lana Sand.  Pallbearers will be Michael Brus, Roderick Magnuson, Jacob Magnuson, Myles Carl, Keifer Lesnar and Marcus Brus. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Visitation will be at Faith Lutheran Church, New Effington, SD from 10:00 A.M. to service time. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Agnes Isabelle Broz was born in Hammer, SD on October 18 ^th , 1923, to Jacob and Lucille (Coffaa) Broz of New Effington, SD. She grew up with four brothers, Howard, Clifford, Wally and Benny, and one sister, Sadie. After her education she worked as a waitress in Benson, MN. On May 7 ^th , 1944 Agnes was united in marriage to Quinten W. Magnuson, together they raised five children, Terry, Larry, Connie, Gary and Kathleen. After living around New Effington and Rosholt area they moved to a farm in the Sisseton area. She lived there until moving to the Tekakwitha Living Center in October 2016. While married Agnes worked on the farm and worked eight years at the Tekakwitha Nursing Home as a nurse's aid.

Agnes will be missed by her children, Connie Brus of Summit, SD and Terry and wife Maxine Magnuson of New Effington, SD; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, Gary Jr. (Jeanne), Dusty (Kristi), Lacie (Keith), Sheila, Toby, Mara (Ryan), McQuian (Michelle), Travis (April), Daryn, eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Quinten, two sons Larry and Gary Sr., one daughter Kathleen, a grandson, Justin Magnuson, granddaughter, Mandi Magnuson-Rikimoto, great grandsons (twins) Trentin and Blaine Rikimoto.
