Graveside Service for Agnes L. Bubak, 92, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD with Pastor Patrick Jenkins officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Bubak, Lyle Bubak, Marvin Bubak, Richard Bubak, Rose Ann Long, Jeff Long and Neil Long. Honorary Pallbearers will All of Agnes' Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Staff of Tekakwitha Living Center. There will be visitation at the Cahill Funeral Chapel on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Social distancing and masks are required. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.
Agnes Lorraine Swanson was born April 5, 1928 in Roberts County, South Dakota to Nels and Nellie (Larson) Swanson. She went to school in Hammer. She worked various places as they moved a lot. She attended one year of High School in Sisseton, and later she received her GED. Agnes was united in marriage to Jim Bubak on September 4, 1946 to which six children were born. She worked 35 years at Mobile Cafe, and the Tekakwitha Orphanage, the kids would call her Grandma Agnes also worked at Hippen's Supper Club and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She liked to sit outside in 80 degree weather. Agnes entered the Tekakwitha Living Center on June 29, 2018 and passed away on October 26, 2020.
Agnes is survived by her five children, Terry ( Margaret) Bubak of Faribault, MN, Rose Ann (Neil) Long of Sisseton, SD, Marvin, Richard, and Lyle Bubak all of Sisseton, SD, and her dog-Buddy who she liked to have around and paid more attention to him than the rest of us, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband Jim; one son Robert; one great grandson; one brother, and two sisters.
