Memorial Service for Dawn Eulalia Seaboy, 77, of Agency Village, S.D. will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at St. James’ Episcopal Church, Enemy Swim, SD with Fr. Charles Chan and Deacon Vernon Cloud officiating. Urn bearer will be Beaman Seaboy. Honorary Pallbearers “All of Dawn’s family & friends, Mona Renville, Nita Kirk and Carol Adams. Inurnment will be in the St. James’ Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim, SD. Wake service on Saturday, April 28, 2012 and Sunday, April 29, 2012 starting at 7:00 P.M.at the Tribal Community Center. Dawn was born on December 6, 1934 at Waubay, SD to John A. and Eulalia (Ruymann) Barse. She attended grade school at Crow Agency, Mt. and then Flandreau Indian School. She lived in Bremerton, Washington, Indiana, and Milwaukee from 1961 to 1977 when she moved back to Waubay. She married Beaman Seaboy in January of 1977 and lived in Waubay. She worked for the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate for 29 years and made her home the last 22 years at Peever. Dawn like camping, playing cards, rummage sales and Rodeo’s. Dawn died on April 27, 2012 at Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Beaman Seaboy of Agency Village, SD; her mother Eulalia Weddle of Sanford, Florida; 6 children Linda Brown of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Debbie of Key West, Florida; Russell Edwards of Hawaii; Carla Simmons and Jerry Wendt of Detroit, Michigan; Craig and Beverly Anderson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Kristen Seaboy and T.J. Backman of Sisseton, SD. Three step-children Christopher and Tia Seaboy, Danelle(Mark) Ducheneaus-Paterson, and Dawn and Kevin Block; 6 grandchildren and 16 step-grandchildren Two sisters Wanda and Frank Hubbard of Olsteen, Florida and Sandra Young of Peever, SD Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, John A. Barse; one brother John K. Barse, and a son John Shane Edwards.
